Field Range
(Under construction)
The game of field archery is classified into three target types:
Field Round uses a black and white circle face.
Hunter Round uses a black square background with white center circle (develops focus on a spot, not the entire target/animal).
Animal Round (predates 3D animal targets) uses faces depicting an animal with it's vital organs outlined as "kill zone".
Our field range consists of target backstops at multiple distances shot for a tournament. Distances are marked, the furthest is 80 yards. There are positions marked to correspond with each marked target backstop. You shoot 4 arrows at each position except for four positions. These include a single arrow shot at three "walkup" targets: the bird, 45 yard, and 80 yard. You shoot an arrow at each marked position as advancing towards the target, for a total of four arrows shot at the same target. The "fan" is the other moving position. Like shotgun skeet, you laterally move between four marked positions shooting a single arrow at each to the same 35 yard target.
